A new externally built enclosed staircase leads up to a parent’s retreat featuring a north facing clerestory louvre window that admits warming winter sun, while a large south facing circular window enjoys a lush backyard garden vista.

By contrast the master bedroom was facing  nearby looming high rise housing commission flats that we averted looking at by an asymmetrical arrangement of windows that non-the-less capture diagonal street views as well as admitting morning and early afternoon shafts of sunlight
